Yeah, I agree. However, it can't be any worse than the first non-rolled back trader reset. The best part is this time, the people responsible for the duping can be singled out (hopefully - via logs) and perma-banned for their serious infliction.

The economy will definitely take a hit, though, and only time will tell how hard.

as long as there is no armbrace in game for even 1 min, this entire issue gets fixed for temporary purposes to keep the economy normal.
It's just not Ambraces.


EVERY item could be duped using the reconnect feature... stacks of ectos, perfect crystallines, whatever you want.

Who knows since when this has been going on. And if that fool that tried to trade 1750 ambraces for a mini-pet hadn't been reported by the OP, it could still have gone on, and on, and on.

removing armbraces will cause many people to quit.. and that means that the sale of GW:EN is going to suffer real bad.....

One thing that I can't seem to figure out is why they didn't just dupe the minipets instead of trying to buy them.

Nothing is fixed. They removed reconnects to stop it from continuing but the market is still flooded.


Sadly if they rolled back it would probly have to be a month+ and I would quit playing. 10 max titles gone? no thanks.

seriously makes me want to leave pve behind for good...

no way they will track down every player that has done this since they implemented reconnects ages ago. Items in pve just became utterly worthless, though they retained little value as it was...

You REALLY want to fix it, Anet? One, learn to spell Arm brace. Two, remove the Deacon of Whispers and Keeper of Whispers, from the Gate of Anguish. Done, no more honest players getting Arm braces for the moment. Three, change the reward for the gemstones from "Armbraces of Truth," (ironic name, isn't it?) to anything else, like maybe "Cuff link of Justice," or something. Then put both Deacon and Keeper back in, respectively accepting and giving the "Cuff link of Justice."

Part two: Re-release more of the rare minipets that were so sought after, either by birthdays, events, anything. Some how get more of them into the economy. You can't leave them at the rarity they are now, since everyone who sold theirs for Armbraces shouldn't be left out to dry. And the ones who duped the Armbraces to collect these minis shouldn't and won't reap the rewards.

One more thing, to be fair to anyone who legibly has an Armbrace after all these changes, allow ONE "Armbrace of Truth" PER ACCOUNT to be traded for a "Cuff link of Justice." And make it a 3 day only NPC, much like the Festival hats were still available via NPC after an event for a short time.

This is the only fair thing to do, but fat chance you'll listen.

those duping armbrace usually want limited edition pets.
duping limited edition pets will be too easily exploited.. as anet should have a collation of the number of those pets available in gw
